The right introduction to school

Practice Preview provides schools with a choice of visual tools designed to help students know what to expect, reducing uncertainty and building confidence.

Inspired by evidence-based visual rehearsal techniques used to support transitions for children with autism, Practice Preview combines images of real school spaces with clear descriptions and guidance to help students become familiar with the school environment before they arrive.

Practice Preview tools can also be adapted for broader uses, such as giving prospective students and families an interactive introduction to the school environment and facilities.

Digital images and open book guides showing a school campus with students arriving, walking through the school, and inside classrooms, with navigation on a laptop screen and informational text about school procedures.
